  • Future research challenges

Bryan’s passion for production agriculture has guided his research direction over the years to deliver practical advice for growers. The department’s current research focuses on a broad range of issues affecting corn and soybean in Indiana ranging from weed resistance, and soybean resiliency to optimizing the application.

For the future, Bryan sees a more integrated approach to researching how for example applications, cover crop, electrocution, and row spacing, for example, work together to optimize results for growers.

Exacto Heads to Capitol Hill

Leaders from Exacto and other companies recently took part in advocacy activities in Washington, DC, engaging in twenty-four meetings with congressional leadership, senators, and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). They addressed a major challenge related to the Endangered Species Act (ESA).

Is Herbicide Resistance the Only Cause of Poor Weed Control?

Failed weed control may resemble herbicide resistance, but it’s not always the culprit. This research shows ways to overcome these application challenges.
